Proper Dance Attire

Our ballet class dress code will be strictly enforced this year. For ages 8 and up: black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers (Pointe students will also need pink pointe shoes).  No skirts, shorts, leggings, or tshirts will be allowed, and your hair must be in a bun if it is long or pulled securely back and clipped if it is short. 

* Hair must be pulled back for all classes and in a bun for ballet class.

* Cover-ups must be worn over dancewear coming into and out of the studio. 

* T-shirts and tank tops should NOT be worn in ANY class.

Girls Ages 3 to 5

Pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, black tap shoes, and hair in a bun.

Girls Ages 6 and 7

Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers (worn for ballet and jazz), black tap shoes, and hair in a bun.

Girls Ages 8 and up

Ballet: black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, hair in a secure bun, pink elastic at waist (provided by studio).


Tap: black leotard, suntan tights, black tap shoes, hair securely pulled back


Jazz: black leotard, suntan tights, tan jazz shoes, hair securely pulled back


Modern: black leotard, footless/convertible suntan tights, hair securely pulled back

Optional attire permitted in class:

Ballet: no optional attire permitted in class.  The ballet class dress code will be strictly enforced this year   

Tap, Jazz, Modern: black dance shorts, black jazz pants, or black leggings

Boys

White T-shirt, black sweatpants, opaque tights or leggings and class appropriate shoes, black or white ballet slippers, black shoes, black  or tan jazz shoes.

Performance Company

Please check with your instructor about shoe style and color for your Performance level.  No T-shirts or tank tops should be worn in any class including Performance Company classes. Leotards (any color) and tights MUST be worn (and hair should be securely pulled back) regardless of whether you have sports practice or other extra curricular activities before or after class.
